#5 FTL
FTL came out in 2012 and it’s still one of the most recommended games for a strategy roguelike. This indie title puts players on control of a spacecraft that is embarking on a quest to send vital information to a base while being hunted down by a rebel force. It’s a constant battle as you’ll need to manage a variety of areas while making your way to deliver the vital information. This includes the likes of fuel, ammunition, weapons, crew members, among other aspects of the ship such as making repairs. Being a roguelike, the game is generated with random levels leaving players guessing what they’ll come up against at any moment.
What makes this a difficult game is that if you lose then the game restarts over again. You’ll have a new ship, a new set of levels, and will once again attempt to deliver the information before being hunted down by the rebel fleet. It’s a constant battle of managing ship along with your crew and adapting to the situation at hand.
#4 Oceanhorn
The Legend of Zelda is a game franchise that inspired plenty of other iconic titles over the years though there is one video game in particular that players have gravitated towards due to the similarities from the Nintendo IP. That game is Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas. This game follows a simple tale of a young boy that is on a quest to find his lost father. But in his adventure, he will have to embark inside the living fortress of Oceanhorn.
The gameplay is very similar to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, as players will have to go through different dungeons, fight off monsters, gather resources such as new weapons, or simply health regeneration. If you want to play a Legend of Zelda game on your iOS tablet then you need to check this game out. Still, we’re sure that there will be some type of Zelda game released onto the platform now that Nintendo is embracing the mobile platform market such as iPhones and iPads, but nothing has officially made its way out into the market quite yet.

#2 The Talos Principle
Developed under Croteam comes The Talos Principle a video game that revolved around players completing a series of complex puzzles. Within the game, players take the role of an android who awakens on an island with nothing but a series of puzzles in his way. Slowly, as you complete the puzzle tasks, you’ll gain access to a mountain where the hidden narrative starts to shed light revealing the reason behind the android and the island filled with puzzles. #1 The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead has had quite an impact on pop culture. What started out as a comic book series turned into a television series and a slew of video games. There are several different video games available based in the universe of The Walking Dead, but we recommend checking into Telltale Games The Walking Dead. There are a few seasons available but the first installment had been the crown jewel for Telltale Games.
In this title players will embark on an adventure based around Lee an escaped convict during the zombie apocalypse. As you venture into the neighborhood, you find a stranded little girl all alone in which you take the role of a guardian in hopes of finding her parents. This game is certainly a mature storyline as you will embark on some tough choices and each choice will have a consequence. While there are a few QTE moments, the main focus on this game is to explore the area, solving puzzles and talking with the wide cast of characters you’ll meet along the way.
