Batman: Arkham Origins
Raise your hands — how many of you remembered that this game was set during Christmas? It makes perfect sense, even if the most forgettable of the Arkham games has its best seasonal setting. Batman Returns famously featured Batman fighting Penguin in a seasonally-decorated Gotham, and you’ll get that same holiday cheer here. There’s even a nice little scene with Alfred wishing Bruce a Merry Christmas. This one belongs on the Nice List.
Bayonetta 2
Bayonette 2 sashays onto our list purely on goodwill — because there’s barely any Christmas in this game at all. In the opening cutscene, everyone’s favorite Witch-Time aficionado is buying presents for Christmas — in New York, she gets attacked by creepy angels (and demons) and is whisked away to a far-off land, with nary any other references to the holidays. It’s a good thing this game is so awesome, so it belongs on the list.
