T-Rex / Caveman (9F Unnatural History Museum)
The giant boss appears in 9F: Unnatural History Museum. First, you’ll encounter a huge T-Rex skeleton that drops rocks from the ceiling. Wait until you can Suction up an egg fossil and launch it at the T-Rex. In the second phase, you’ll only get one egg, so summon Gooigi and let the T-Rex munch on him, giving you an opening to attack.
After that, you just need to let the loose T-Rex smash everything in the exhibit. Pick up the large dino bones and launch them at the T-Rex until the Caveman ghost appears. This guy is pretty simple too, you just need to Slam to dodge over the shockwaves, then Strobulb him three or four times.
The Handyman (B2 Boilerworks)
This waterborn boss is a lot trickier than he seems. You’ll have to fight this guy while riding a rubber ducky in the water — use Suction to go forward and Blow to go backward. The Mechanic summons mines (stay away!) and attemps to smack you. Avoid the spikes on the outer ring, and carefully dodge his melee attacks.
After three dodges, the boss will spin out of control. That’s your chance! Suction him up and Blow him toward the spikes. He’ll flop onto dry land. Climb up the ladder, Strobulb him, and Ghost Slam him. Repeat three times or so, and this surprisingly tough boss will go down.
The Pharaoh (10F Tomb Suites)
This massive sand-based doesn’t mess around. She forms a huge sand head that chases you down, lunges across the map, and generates a shockwave you need to Slam over. She also summons snakes (run away until they attack three times and are dazed, then Suction them) and fists. The fist attacks are hard to dodge; use a Slam if the fist is flying straight at you, but only when you’re in close enough range to blow away the fist.
The fist can punch or slam into the ground. If it attempts to slam, just sprint out of the way. Keep dodging attacks and using Suction to slowly dismantle the giant sand construct. Once you’ve removed enough sand, the Pharoah will reveal herself. Wait for her to summon a projectile attack, dodge, then Strobulb her. Be on the lookout for hearts in this battle, they’re hidden in the sand all over.
The Three Magicians (11F Twisted Suites)
These three tricksters appear at the end of the Twisted Suites, and they can be especially challenging if you don’t watch them carefully. Here’s how the boss fight goes — all three fly around in hats and throw cards as they spin around Luigi. Dodge or use Slam to deflect the cards.
When they spin and start to encircle Luigi, wait for them to get very close, then use Slam to knock them all down. Make sure you stand in the center so all three hats land on the platform, or they’ll counterattack. Pull the ghost from the hat with Suction and slam it! You can defeat one ghost magician each time.
Here’s where the fight gets tricky. The defeated magician will be replaced with a bomb. You’ll have to watch the spinning hats carefully to remember which is the bomb and which is a magician. The third wave is easily the hardest — the screen flashes, the hats spin really fast. Just try to train your eye on the correct hat at the start of the wave and watch it the entire time.
