Hold [LS] / [X / Square] While Looting To Instantly Breakdown Weapons / Armor
Going back to looting, you can instantly breakdown loot while playing or while in the inventory menu. When looking into a loot container, press [LS] to scrap the selected item, saving you time and inventory space. That way, you won’t have to pick up every random weapon or armor set. You can still get some value out of that useless junk. Scrap it!
Get Pack Mule Perk First To Carry 50+ KG — Or Use The Ship Containers To Store Junk
One of the most useful perks to grab early is Pack Mule. It instantly gives you a +50 Kg carry weight bonus. That’s huge if you’re not into strength builds. The more stuff you carry, the more potential cash you’re earning, the easier it will be to buy what you need later. Alternatively, you can store extra stuff at your ship. Use the containers inside to permanently store extra stuff.
If that isn’t enough, you can also unlock a perk that allows you to fast travel, even if you’re overencumbered. Use these three mini-tips ,and you’ll never run out of storage space.
Don’t Bother Buying Guns — There Are Plenty To Find
Guns are expensive if you’re buying them from vendors. It’s much better to save your bits for upgrades at the workbench. Use tinker on guns you find in the environment; marauders carry Assault Rifles, Hunting Rifles, Revolvers, Pistols and Shotguns. They’re all great, and there’s absolutely no reason to buy them from a store. You’ll eventually get them all just from exploring.
Stealth And Hunting Rifles Are A Powerful Combo
Why? Because enemies don’t go on alert if you score an instant kill, even if it’s with a loud weapon. When you’re stalking a marauder camp, you can kill an enemy with a headshot without alerting the entire camp. Just wait for nearby bad guys to lose their alert level.
Wander Around And Find All The New Locations You Can Around Edgewater For XP
Exploration is insanely important early in the game. Not only can you earn easy XP, you’ll also find unique areas, tough enemies — like mega creatures — and rare loot. A little exploration goes a long way, but my favorite part is probably the XP you earn for each area. Finding new places and clearing out all the enemies? That’s the perfect XP equation.
