Can’t log into your Early-Access copy of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint? Don’t worry, there’s a way to fix this weird issue that’s popping up for players on the Gold or Ultimate Editions of the game. If you spent a bunch of extra cash to get into the Early-Access period — available 10/1, three days earlier than the standard 10/4 release — and can’t get in, here’s what you need to know.
Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is the newest iteration of Ubisoft’s open-world military shooter series. Set on a tropical island taken over by an army of PMC goons, your Ghost is trapped and alone, without backup, fighting against a highly advanced enemy armed with the latest battlefield weapons. New survival mechanics let you spend time to improve your stats at campfires, and you’ll need to scavenge for weapons to keep up with the competition.
This is a very different take on the Ghost Recon series, and it’s filled with always-online services. You’ll have to be online to play, and some players (like me) were locked out at first. Here’s how to overcome that early hurdle.
How To Fix The ‘Mountain-00800’ Error Code
The ‘Mountain-00800’ code denies access to the Early-Access period. This is appearing for players even if they should be able to log-in. This issue cropped up for me too.
- How To Fix: Make sure to input Gold / Ultimate Edition codes. Download and make sure you have the Season Pass installed.
Turn off the game, and attempt to login again. This is where things get tricky — if you login it might still deny access. Just keep trying to login. Once you connect to the Ubisoft Server, you should be able to login even if the game gives you the same error code.
If you’ve downloaded / input any codes that come with your copy, you should be able to access the game. Just keep trying! You’ll get through eventually. Goodluck out there, Ghost.
