Borderlands 3: The Best Legendary Shotgun Of Borderlands 2 Is Back | ‘Conference Call’ Guide

September 17, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Get one of the best guns of Borderlands 2 in Borderlands 3 — here’s how to find the killer Conference Call legendary shotgun.

The ‘Conference Call’ has an appointment for you, Vault Hunters. This Legendary Shotgun makes a surprise return from Borderlands 2, where it was considered one of the very best guns in the game. Using the ‘Conference Call’, some players could solo even the toughest enemies — Crawmerax? He didn’t stand a chance. Now you can get this handy Legendary, and it isn’t even that far in the game.

The ‘Conference Call’ is a unique Hyperion Legendary Shotgun, and it’s no wonder it’s one of the best in Borderlands 2 — it can drop from The Warrior, the boss from the Vault of the Warrior. That’s the last boss, even if higher-level DLC did materialize for the post-game. This shotgun is still special in a lot of veteran Vault Hunters’ hearts, so if you’re looking for a shot of nostalgia, here’s how to find the Conference Call a second time.

How To Get The ‘Conference Call’ | Legendary Shotgun Guide

Like the original Conference Call, this Legendary can actually drop from multiple bosses — or at least certain bosses have a much higher probability of dropping it. The gun seems to drop more often from two sources — Captain Truant, or the Graveward.

Captain Truant is the final boss of Athenas, the Siren monastery located on a peaceful planet being invaded by Maliwan. You’ll fight Truant much, much earlier in the game than the Graveward, and you can farm him endlessly until he drops the Conference Call.

Captain Truant is found near the monastery itself, in the courtyard near the end, past Anchorhold. He’s a big tough Maliwan soldier, but defeating him should come easy if you’ve made any progress in the game. The Conference Call is a weapon that can be found literally anywhere — any chest or loot source can drop it, but Captain Truant’s chances are much higher. The game goes for the original gun from Borderlands 2.

The Conference Call is a very powerful shotgun that fires x5 projectiles per shot. This projectiles that split into even MORE projectiles on impact, making it multiply your damage if you hit with every pellet. You can also aim-down-sights to generate a shield that refills your magazine ammo when it takes damage. Perfect for sustained shooting.
