Conan Unconquered: 15 Tips To Help You Survive The Endless Onslaught | Beginner’s Guide

May 31, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Survive the bitter trials of Conan Unconquered with these 15 battle-hardened tips we’ve learned so far.

6: Maximize Your Money With Marketplaces

When you build a marketplace, which is one of the best early upgrades to get, it creates an area-of-effect that increases the gold production of hovels. Build all the hovels tightly, right next to each other, surrounding the marketplace to get as much bonus as possible.

7: Build More Javelins Than Swordsman

Javelins are ranged units that are weaker than swordsmen in close-combat, but their utility is so much better. Javelins can attack units while standing behind walls — and they can move anywhere!

Javelin Throwers can be upgraded into Archers once you construct the Craftsman’s Guild. It costs a lot of upkeep (and wood!) to build, so make sure you can handle the extra costs before purchasing anything.

8: Build Gatehouses To Create Wall Chokepoints

If you construct gatehouses, enemies will focus on attacking those instead of the gatehouse first instead of the walls. It’s good to have — not just because you can get in and out — but because your close-range units can rush in and attack the clumped units. They won’t spread out and attacks all your weaker walls.

Just stick your close-ranger fighters inside the gatehouse itself instead of leaving. If they leave the gate, they can easily get surrounded by units.

9: Between Waves, Go Searching For Resources & Enemy Lairs

While it’s safe, send troops and your hero to map out as much of the territory as possible. You’ll find item boxes with extra resources and dangerous enemy lairs. If you’re full on certain resources, leave the boxes so you can scoop them up later.

Destroy enemy lairs as soon as possible. Enemies don’t spawn from them when you’re exploring, so you can clear them out and get even more resources.

10: Build Battle Standards To Expand Your Buildable Territory

Battle Standards are special flags you can plop down that increase your territory. You’ll need to increase your territory to get more Control Points. With the extra space, you can also build walls to create mazes that slow the enemy down — some of them will attack walls, while others will rush forward. Splitting enemy groups helps to make each wave easier.
