If you’re a true Trials Rising madman, you’ll want to track down all 62 gold squirrel collectibles. These insanely well-hidden secrets are tucked-away in each and every track in the game. The idea that any sane person could find all of these is mind-boggling to me, but bright, wonderful minds have worked together with the community — particularly Youtuber Maka91Productions.
The squirrel collectibles are usually hidden in creative, mind-bending secret zones — and sometimes they’re just straight-up Easter eggs, with cutscenes and bizarre challenges you’ll need to solve. They’re all puzzling, so we’ll do our best to explain what you need to do to get them all.
Finding squirrels isn’t just for bragging rights or achievements / trophies. You’ll also earn free in-game premium currency called ‘acorns’. You’ll earn a bunch of acorns for finding all 62 squirrels, so you can use your fancy winnings to purchase up a couple bonus cosmetic suits. If that’s your thing.

Collecting hidden squirrel collectibles will earn you ‘Acorns’ — premium currency you can use to purchase cosmetic items. Each squirrel is extremely well hidden. You’ll find one on each map.
- Braking Bad: After landing on the shack (50%), roll off the roof and then back through the boarded up doorway of the shack.
- Happy Camper: Right at the end, on the final ramp to the exit, roll backwards and fall down under the platform so that you land on the ground, on the right bank of the river.
- MX And the City: Instead of jumping over the road, just land on the road (after the traffic lightens) and wait. Wait on the left side of the road until you see a yellow truck — you need to get hit by that yellow truck (on the right side) to get it.
- Yellowstone Caldera: Right past Checkpoint #7, when you hit the geyser, bail out [Y / Triangle] and aim for the balloon with the collectible squirrel.
- Canyon Crash: At the very first ramp, wait and watch the canyon in the distance for a bird with this collectible. At 30 seconds, the bird will fly by. You need to hit that bird. Ridiculously tricky.
- Lights, Camera, Action: At Checkpoint #7, instead of jumping the gap in the ramp, drop through the hole and under the right ramp platform. Break through the boards and roll through the open door.
- Lumbering On: Past Checkpoint #8, roll across the roof and stop when you get a view of the train tracks. Instead of jumping the tracks, drop down and roll backwards to find this collectible. Pretty easy.
- Hard Hat Zone: Right at the start. Drop down and reverse to find the collectible in a pipe, belong the starting line.
- True Scotsman: Past Checkpoint #4, slow down at the ramp over the huge gorge and look down. There’s another hidden ramp below. Drop from the ramp’s edge down to this under-ramp and roll backwards.
- El Tomate: After being launched by the catapult, you’ll land on some wooden boards. Reverse and drop off the left ledge, and continue to reverse until you drop into the left-edge of a bomb pit. You’ll break through the floor and crash — don’t worry! Just watch the scene. You’ll get the squirrel.
- Lynx World: At Checkpoint #15, roll onto the wooden platform that pops up. Bail when you’re launched, and aim slightly left so you fall under the platform that just popped up. There’s a hidden chamber underneath.
- Tilting At Windmills: When you need to get scooped up by the windmill, you’ll find the collectible floating above the windmill itself. You need to mount the top of the spinning “fin” to reach this collectible. Easy to spot, but tricky to get.
- Medieval Flair: Right at the start, drop down at the first ramp and land on the hidden platform below. Reverse into the secret chamber to get your squirrel. Another surprisingly easy one.
- Below Bucharest: In the sewers, after being launched by the water, bail out and aim far left. If you reach far enough, you’ll land on a sluice and slide down into the collectible.
- Nyet Problem: At the start, roll onto the burning missile exhaust to light yourself on fire. Stay on fire until you reach a red tube ramp with an ‘X’ painted on the side. Drop into the tube when you’re on fire. Enjoy the rest.
- The Flying Finn: Perform a tricky reverse-wheelie maneuver on the wooden pallet behind the starting line. Roll up, then reverse down the hill to reach this squirrel.
- Beach Bum: Just like the previous one, but a lot easier. All you have to do is reverse and bail into the collectible, to the left of the starting line.
- Grave of Giants: At Checkpoint #6, launch yourself high above the boarded-up tube and bail out, then tap [Y / Triangle] to grab the wrecking ball. If you grab it, the call will drop and smash the boards. Fall into the tube below, and maneuver your ragdolling rider up and right, using the wind from the fans to reach your squirrel.
- Balloons Over Bagan: Jump into the very first hot air balloon basket and sit inside it. Ride it up and then jump onto the top of another balloon with a collectible.
- Ship It!: At Checkpoint #6, roll onto the container and then reverse off it when it begins to lift. Roll onto the button underneath the container to destroy a container to the right, revealing a hidden squirrel. Nifty and explosive.
- Chinese Cliffs: At Checkpoint #7, roll your front wheel onto the burning barrels to light it. Reverse to the left, and you’ll ignite a fuse, revealing a hidden platform below. Roll off the cliff to the left, and reach the secret cave.
- Thousand Cloud Village: At the giant bell, bail out and hold [Y / Triangle] to hold onto it. Move left / right to ring the bell. Ring the bell three times, and the collectible will appear at Checkpoint #18 when you restart at the previous checkpoint.
- Spirit of the Mountain: After rolling over the boulder and causing it to roll down, don’t jump high on the next ramp. Instead, stay low and you’ll land on a hidden lower path that leads into a cave. Drop underwater, and continue to follow the underwater path. At the end of the underwater path, you’ll be launcher up to a high platform on the pagoda with the collectible.
- Wheels of Steel: At Checkpoint #11, bail out and try to grab onto a chain hanging from above in the distance. Ride the chain up, then swing across to another chain to reach the collectible.
- Ruined Run: At Checkpoint #5, activate the lift and reverse off of it. Drop down the hole under the lift to get the squirrel.
- Firebase Faceplant: At Checkpoint #8, roll backwards into the open shipping container.
- Siberian Express: Very tricky! At the very end, you need to bail out and launch your driver between the two containers. If you have enough speed, you’ll send your driver through the gap and to the collectible on a train car far to the right of the finish line.
- A Pretty Good Wall: To get the collectible in this level, you need to activate firework buttons in hidden locations throughout the track. Look for a white square. Hit all three, and then bail out at the finish line to launch yourself through the open doors of the building to the right.
- One is under the ramp at Checkpoint #2. Reverse and bail out to hit it.
- On the wall, just past the ramp at Checkpoint #5.
- After launching from the lift, bail and roll down the mountain (instead of reaching the ramp) to get the last button.
- Vietnam Vaults: Reach Checkpoint #3, roll onto the ramp, and wait for the explosion ahead. Now you can reverse into a hidden hole — land on your wheels, and carefully avoid the hanging explosives.
- Angkor What?: At Checkpoint #13, gain as much height as you can from the ramp and bail out. Ragdoll your rider left to reach the hidden collectible.
- Siberian Skies: Reverse at the starting line to press the bright red button. This will open a cargo door just past Checkpoint #4. Drop through the open door to get the collectible.
- I Fell Tower: Here’s a tricky one. On the last ramp before the finish line, after being launched by the two lifts, roll backwards and fall under the second launcher. There’s a very tricky secret ramp underneath the launcher you can reach.
- Motocross Madness [DIAMOND SQUIRREL]: To get the Diamond Squirrel, you must collect all 61 gold squirrels first. Reach the seesaw platform at Checkpoint #5 and reverse backwards to find a lift. Roll onto it and ride down.
- In the temple below, the first door will only open once you’ve collected all 61 gold squirrels.
- Complete the track, and you’ll reach another room with three codes.
- The codes are located in three tracks — Rally of the Kings, Temple of Trials, and Stonehenge. Each code is located at the end of the hidden squirrel track. Input the codes by leaning left, right, down or up.
- Stonehenge: Right, Left, Down, Right
- Rally of the Kings: Down, Left, Up, Down
- Temple of Trials: Left, Right, Up, Right
- Unlock the doors, and you’ll have to complete another tricky track. At the end, you’ll find the Diamond Squirrel.
- On Man’s Trash: Near Checkpoint #11, bail out and launch yourself into a secret passage in the trash pile. You’ll fall into a pinball minigame. Drop into the center slot to get the collectible.
- Greek Grapes: After riding over the covered well near Checkpoint #4, reverse up the ramp so that you can drop into the well. In the underwater well, swim to discover the hidden collectible.
- Bucharest Breakdown: Just as you enter the sewers, stop at Checkpoint #8 and look below the ramp. There’s a hidden squirrel! Drop down and reverse to get him.
- Pripyat: Before activating Checkpoint #11, you’ll backflip and land on a crumbling floor. Roll backwards and drop down to land on a secret ramp below.
- Finnish Flash: At the lift, reverse at the top to land on some scaffolding to the left. Keep rolling backwards until you fall and break through the ice.
- Frozen Fjord: Past the finish line, you’ll be able to see the collectible on the Christmas tree. Bail out at the last ramp when jumping to launch yourself into the collectible — this one is tricky.
- UK Up: Past Checkpoint #8, bail out into the water beneath the stone platform. Just wait as your rider falls off the waterfall and collects the hidden squirrel.
- Lumber Party: At Checkpoint #13, stop on the edge of the ramp with a view of the train tracks. Wait and watch the train — a squirrel collectible is on it. You’ll need to time your jump and bail out to grab the squirrel. Just watch the train, and restart at the previous checkpoint.
- Alcatraz: Reach Checkpoint #11, and then drop off the ledge instead of jumping over the electric floor. Land on the edge (left of the electricity) and then reverse into the secret room.
- Venice Beach 360: Just past Checkpoint #2, bail out as you’re gaining height from the ramp and aim to drop your rider into the air vent on the ceiling.
- Unhappy Camper: Right at the start, bail out backwards into the explosives. Move left and use the explosives to bounce up to the collectible.
- Wingman: Get to Checkpoint #11 and drop down instead of jumping through the flaming hoop. Drop straight down to a hidden platform below, then reverse through the secret hoop. You’ll be launched forward — go through the hoops to keep your fuel going, and aim below the platform ahead.
- Black Gold: At Checkpoint #12, look for a secret platform to the right, under the main path. You’ll also hit a burst of fire. Ride into the pipe, crash, and drop into the collectible.
- Toxic Behavior: Reach Checkpoint #8, ramp up and bail out — aim high and right to land on top of the vent. We’re not going inside it this time.
- Stonehenge: At the starting line, drop straight down onto a hidden ramp below and roll onto the squirrel button. Get to Checkpoint #7 (no faults) and reverse into a secret hole. Drop down, and you’ll need to complete a bonus, hidden track. It’s okay if you fault here.
- Seoul Searching: At the starting line, reverse and bail out, launching your ride through the open doorway to the left.
- Shanghai Scrapers: Once again, reverse from the starting line and break through the fence. When you reach the fan, bail out and drop your driver into the dumpster.
- Rally of the Kings: Reach Checkpoint #12 to find a squirrel button to the left. Reverse into the button, and then go to Checkpoint #15. Land on the hanging platform, and reverse to find a secret room. Drop into the hole, and complete another hidden track path to get the squirrel.
- Ski Or Don’t: Get to Checkpoint #6 and then, at the first ramp ahead, gain as much air as you can while bailing. If you get enough air, you’ll spot a ski lift with the squirrel.
- Venice Beach 1080: At the Starting Line, drop down and reverse into the wall. Knock it down, and continue to reverse to get the collectible.
- Temple of Trials: At the start of the track, immediately drop straight down to land on the squirrel button. You know the drill — reach the secret track without faulting. The hidden hole is right under Checkpoint #1.
- Chinese Gauntlet: Get to Checkpoint #7 and bunny-hop from the right ledge to launch your rider as far right as possible when bailing. Hold [Y / Triangle] to grab the rope to the right and hang on. Zip-line down and release to swing into the collectible.
- Red Steel: Get to Checkpoint #11, where you’re launched by the exploding pressure pipe. Bail out above the exploding pipe and drop down into a cart on the tracks under the pipe.
- Nippon Springs: Stop on the island with Checkpoint #4, and bail out into the water to the right. Just wait until you’re sucked underwater and out into the collectible.
- Container Cowboy: Get to Checkpoint #6 and jump onto the container. Reverse and bail out onto the ledge under the checkpoint to get this hidden collectible.
- Ever, Everer, Everest: Reverse from the Starting Line to spot a flaming ball (???) — bail and grab it. Hang on as you’re launched. You can control your trajectory, so aim up-and-right, and stay a bit above the track itself. You’ll find the squirrel on the mountain, past the finish line.
- UK Upper: Land on the rotating stone platform near Checkpoint #2 to launch the explosive barrel backwards. If you land hard enough, you’ll launch the explosive onto the wooden ramp near Checkpoint #2 and break it. Reverse back through the destroyed hole to get the squirrel.
- Liberty Station: Get to Checkpoint #13 — bail out so that you touch the side of the building, straight down from the ramp and touch a vent cover / window. You’ll need to grab it to pull the cover down, then checkpoint and bail out again to actually get inside.
- Hollywood Hills: At Checkpoint #12, drop off the ledge and land on the hidden path below. Reverse down this bonus path to get the last gold squirrel.
