Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos released back in 2002 and now for fans who enjoyed the game when it initially released will get a chance to replay a newly revamped edition. This is a classic strategy title which is coming out in 2019 that will bring not only a visual improvement to the base game but also the expansion, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. This title is in good hands as its being taken care of by the team who put out StarCraft: Remastered and while the developers are looking to bring out a visually pleasing title, they will also bring out some new improvements. For instance, we know some mechanics and AI will be tweaked and that players can even expect new enemies. Likewise, there may also be a push to further connect the Warcraft franchise together with this title release which may be an undertaking due to the wide range of books and video game titles.
Civilization 6: Gathering Storm

If you already own a copy of Civilization VI then you may want to take note of the upcoming second expansion pack known as Gathering Storm. This expansion will be adding an assortment of features, leaders, wonders, and civilizations. A big focus with this expansion is all about weather elements being introduced to the game and as a result, players will have to deal with the various issues that will come up from it. For instance, players will soon have to plan for potential volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, blizzards, tornadoes, to even droughts. All of these will play a role in how the game will play out for the last eras. However, as mentioned, there are some other notable elements being added into the game such as a new overhaul to diplomacy along to a variety of small little tweaks to the already established mechanics.
For those who are after more leaders, you’ll find that Gathering Storm will include a total of nine new characters with eight brand new civilizations. These will also come with two new scenarios which will deal with The Black Death pandemic and the WWI German-French conflict in Belgium. Currently, this game is slated to release on February 14, 2019.
Total War: Three Kingdoms

Total War: Three Kingdoms will mark the twelfth installment to the Total War franchise which is set to take place in 190 AD. The game will follow the Han dynasty when a new warlord has begun to manipulate the emperor. Much like the past installments, this is a turn-based strategy title where players are controlling a faction that must unify China. In order to do so, players will have to battle and take out the opposing factions while commanding troops and units. This game is also said to come with two game modes where one will allow players an overall easier time to manage their faction and going across China to take out enemies. However, developers Creative Assembly has included a more difficult mode to give players an extra challenge.
Phoenix Point

Set to be an X-COM series spiritual successor, Phoenix Point is a turn-based tactics strategy video game with heavy inspirations from the Lovecraft works. Players will be fighting off an alien invasion while at first only having control of a lone base known as Phoenix Point. Set in the not so distant future, humanity becomes under attack after the discovery of an extraterrestrial virus and over the course of the game, you’ll find that these viruses are able to cause the aliens to mutate. If you enjoy the strategic style gameplay from X-COM along with classic Lovecraft style horror then this is one game you won’t want to miss out on. Currently, the title is set to release within June of this year.
The Settlers 2019

Ubisoft with the creator of the original entry to the franchise is back with a new installment to The Settlers. This is a strategy title that will play out similar to the eight past previous titles but with overall improvements to the visuals and mechanics. For instance, everything will play out in real-time which means you could watch your settlers work on an individual item from start to finish such as cutting down a tree and bringing to a storehouse. Visually, this installment looks to be more catered to making the world feel more alive while players can also expect plenty of action-packed battles when opposing factions come around.
