Black Ops 4: Blackout – Check Out All 14 Areas & What They’re Based On | Map Guide

October 10, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Take a tour of Blackout, the new Battle Royale map built for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, with our rundown of all 14 locations. Here’s what you can expect, and what old maps they’re referencing.

#11: Cargo Docks

  • References: Cargo (Black Ops 2)

The Cargo Docks are split between three main areas — the cargo storage, the ship, and the office. The ship itself has a good view of the piles and piles of empty cargo containers you can parkour over. The entire area is a maze of long sightlines and narrow passages you can use to sneak around unnoticed. The ship itself is a great place to scavenge, with tons of items to spare. It’s also slightly easier to lockdown, with only a few bridges leading up to the ship.

If you’re a fan of Black Ops 2, you’ll instantly recognize the giant circular crane structure in the center of the map. Whatever that this is for, you’ll find plenty of action underneath it. There’s a large courtyard in the center that (seems) like pure death. Everyone from everywhere can spot you!

#12: Turbine

  • References: Turbine (Black Ops 2)

Named after the giant wind generators in the distance, this factory is made up of three truly huge hangars. These hangars are so big, you might as well count them as exteriors. Sniper Rifles and Tactical Rifles will do you good — especially if you can take the high ground. Each hangar has an office, and several large pieces of machinery that break line of sight, or provide cover.

There is a vast field of wind turbines in the distance. The area is rocky and uneven, so it’s a perfect place to hide in the desert.
