Missed EA Play’s E3 press conference this year? Don’t worry we have you covered! Here is everything that was unveiled at the event.
Anthem
We all knew that Anthem would be making its presence during EA Play’s press conference this year. This will be BioWare’s upcoming RPG title and during the conference, we got a brand new look at the video game. The trailer didn’t really offer anything that we didn’t know about the game already. Mankind is left in a hostile world where players take the role of a Freelancer which grants access to Javelins. Essentially, Javelins are advanced armor suits that will allow players to freely explore the open world while also offering abilities to take out the hostile enemies.
There will be gameplay for both single player and multiplayer with a total of four squad members. Likewise, during the conference, BioWare did confirm that the game will not offer any loot boxes but there will be options to buy cosmetics. As for the release date, players can pick up a copy on February 22, 2019.
Command & Conquer Rivals

Command & Conquer makes a return but this time as a free-to-play mobile title known as Command & Conquer Rivals. The game is set up to be a real-time strategy title where two factions must battle it out all while gaining resources and units.
The game series hasn’t been around for a number of years so for some this might not be the Command & Conquer title some fans were hoping to be announced. However, if you own an Android or iOS device, the game will be coming your way soon. Likewise, because the game is free-to-play, there will be some in-app purchases available however it seems that all the content can be unlocked simply by playing the game. Really, the question we have in our minds is just how much grinding will be involved to unlock certain content.
Battlefield V
DICE was also part of the action during EA Play’s E3 press conference with their upcoming video game, Battlefield V. This is a title that will take place during World War II with gameplay footage showcasing the highly destructible battle-torn areas you’ll be fighting within. Similar to Battlefield 1, Battlefield V will also feature War Stories, where players will be going through the war as a few different characters, but we’re still waiting to hear more about the narrative journey.
Battle Royale is also really big at the moment and as such, you can expect a similar mode to make an appearance within the game, but there weren’t too many details shared at the moment. Currently, Battlefield V is set to release on October 19, 2018.
EA Origin Access
Steaming services for gaming seems to be more relevant now as EA has announced their upcoming EA Origin Access. This is a subscription service where players will be able to stream gameplay for a wide range of different EA PC games where the monthly fee would be $15 but you can opt to pay a full $100 per year. So far the service is expected to launch sometime within the summer though more details regarding the service and capabilities will be unveiled prior.
Sports Titles
There was a number of Sports titles announced at EA Play’s E3 conference which was expected. Fifa 19 will include the Champions League license and Madden NFL is making its way to the PC platform after its long absence from the platform. In fact, the last game to receive a PC port was Madden 08, so I would say that this was long overdue.
Furthermore, NBA Live 19 had received a brand new trailer that showed off a few new features.
Star Wars Battlefront II
EA made note that Star Wars Battlefront II wasn’t the strongest title that they had hoped for. However, there is some upcoming DLC in the works that will add the Clone Wars for games to enjoy. For instance, the game will receive new heroes and villains such as General Grievous, Count Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker.
This may just the start as the game will likely be supported with other content updates throughout the year. However, this wasn’t the only Star Wars focused video game announcement made during EA press conference.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is in the works over at Respawn Entertainment. For quite some time now we knew that there was a Star Wars game being developed over at Respawn Entertainment and it’s only now that we have the official name.
Apparently, the game setting will take place during dark times between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Unfortunately, that’s really all we have for the game so far as there was no artwork or trailers shown off
Unravel Two
Unravel Two was announced at EA’s E3 press conference. The game focused on local cooperative gameplay with players take the role of a figure made of yarn as they maneuver around the hostile world. If you were a fan of Unravel then the sequel may be an instant download. Luckily for you, the game was ready to be released right after the press conference so you can purchase your digital copy today.
Sea of Solitude
Jo-Mei Games is working on an EA Original title thanks to the massive success EA had with the previous title, A Way Out. This is an upcoming adventure title where the player takes the role of a young woman named Kay. This is an artistic view of humanity and the lonesomeness individuals can have as the Kay finds herself in an abandoned city looking to find answers as to why she has become a monster. As of right now, the game is expected to launch in early 2019.
