Dark Souls: Remastered – How To Beat Every Boss In Lordran | Battle Tips Guide [VIDEO]

May 26, 2018 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Prepare to live. Get tips with our video guides, showing you how to crush every boss in Dark Souls: Remastered.

Moonlight Butterfly

One of those bosses that’s totally confounding on your first playthrough. The Moonlight Butterfly is a weird optional boss that mostly fights at long-range, launching projectiles while you’re stuck on a long bridge. It’s found in the Darkroot Garden, on a long bridge.

When the Moonlight Butterfly first appears, it will bombard the Undead Champion with magic attacks. Sprint or dodge to avoid these projectiles, and continues to dodge until the Moonlight Butterfly lowers itself onto some flowers to heal. This is when you can start to attack. It will escape with a charge attack that’s got a long wind-up animation.

You can also kill the boss with magic or projectiles of your own, but melee works just fine. Target the butterfly and roll / dodge / strafe to avoid its projectile attacks. When it tries to bomb the bridge, hide under the entranceway to the bridge. You’ll be safe there.
