The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct Collectible Items Guide

March 21, 2013

Find and collect all of the game’s collectibles—stuffed squirrels and posters—with the help of these guides.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is a first person shooter developed by Terminal Reality and published by Activision. The game became the subject of mockery when a gameplay trailer was released, showcasing some exceedingly dull visuals.

The game is certainly not going to be a runner for Game of the Year like its predecessor, The Walking Dead by Telltale Games, was last year. Seen as little more than a cash grab by Activision, the game doesn't offer much in the way of either innovation, story, or anything else that made the previous game by Telltale, the graphic novels, or the TV series it's based on great.

That being said, it's a game you might want to pick up if you're in it just for the Gamerscore or the trophies for your Xbox or PlayStation profile. Bearing the fact that it's a small game that doesn't take long to finish, it might be worth it just for that.

To that end, Youtuber PowerPyx has prepped together a pair of videos as a walkthrough and guide for all of the game's collectible items, which include stuffed squirrels (seriously) and posters for you to tear down and collect.

Finding all of these items will earn you the trophies "no Stone Left Unturned" and "The Missing 8", respectively. Your progress will be saved each time you pick one up, so you don't need to worry about finding them again should you die at any point.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to collect each and every item in a single playthrough, as the game will prompt you with choices on where to go at certain points.
