September 20, 2017 by Dennis Patrick

Want to customize your Fighter Card? Check out how to unlock backgrounds and titles.

Set as the sixth main entry to the Marvel Vs. Capcom series, Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite is officially out right now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and lastly, the PC platforms. This is a crossover type video game series where we’ll see characters from the Marvel universe get pinned against the cast of characters available from Capcom’s beloved franchises.

Designed to be more accessible to gamers than the past installments, several gameplay mechanics were changed for newcomers who may be experiencing the franchise for their very first time. Likewise, with this new entry to the series, gamers will be tossed into a more story focused narrative.

In the Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite narrative, the world of Capcom along with the world of Marvel was merged forcing the cast of hero and heroine characters to stop the new threat against their combined world, Ultron Sigma.

If you’re needing a hand with the game or looking for further information then we suggest checking out our list of guides for Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite.

How To Unlock Fighter Card Custom Titles & Backgrounds

When you head to battle against other players online in Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite, the first thing your opponent will see is the Fighter Card. These cards are a means to allow players to dress them up with a specific character design and a title.

With all that said, not all the available customization options will be available to you from the start. Instead, you’ll have to do a good amount of unlocking the titles to become of use in your Fighter Card.

There’s a variety of titles to unlock and luckily the game will showcase how to earn them directly on the Fighter Card customization page.

We suggest looking at the specific title you’re looking to unlock in the game to see its requirements. This could range from completing the Arcade mode with a specific character, with a number of Ranked matches with a specific character, having a specific amount of hours logged into the game, to even winning a specific number of matches.

You’ll likely unlock a number of titles simply by playing the game casually, but for those rare few characters, the requirements will be listed showcasing what you need to accomplish.

Examples

  • Win X amount of matches playing as Iron Man.
  • Have X amount of hours of gameplay logged.
  • Win X amount of Ranked matches playing as Iron Man.
