Ripper Roo
Ripper Roo is back after first being defeated in Crash Bandicoot. The boss is up to his usual antics with jumping around causing TNT and Nitro crates to become activated on the floor. If you can recall the first boss fight with Ripper Roo then you’ll, for the most part, be doing similar tactics.
Within the boss fight, Ripper Roo will hop around and cause TNT crates to pop up which will eventually explode. During this portion of the fight, you will have to avoid the crates and Ripper Roo. Once all the TNT crates have exploded, Nitro crates will start to pop up, these are the ones that will cause Ripper Roo to become stunned after they explode.
When Ripper Roo is stunned, you will have your chance to spin attack him and cause some damage. Do this for a total of three times to defeat the boss.
Komodo Brothers
The Komodo Brothers are pretty easy to handle. You’ll find that the larger brother will stand in the center of the room while launching his smaller sibling at you. During the fight, you will have to avoid being hit by the younger brother, though after a toss, the small sibling will sit vulnerable on the floor.
What you must do is spin attack the smaller sibling and strike the other Komodo Brother. Once hit, the larger Komodo Brother will start to toss out knives for a brief period. Dodge the knives and repeat the process once again.
After being hit two times, the larger Komodo Brother will start to throw knives along with his smaller sibling. At this point try your best to avoid the knives and do one more spin attack which will cause the boss battle to end.
Tiny Tiger
Tiny Tiger is not so tiny after all, but his size won’t matter much in the boss battle. In fact, this boss battle is all about timing so you won’t have to rely on attacking Tiny Tiger throughout the match. Overall, Crash and Tiny Tiger will be using floating platforms to jump around.
Crash will play as the leader with Tiny Tiger following behind. Your goal is to time out the platforms with yours and Tiny Tiger’s jump. When a platform turns red and begins to flash then that will alert players that it will soon fall. Your goal is to time out the jump so that Tiny Tiger, who will continuously follow you, lands on the platform just as it’s about to fall.
To win the boss battle, players will have to cause Tiny Tiger to fall three times.
Dr N. Gin
The Dr N. Gin boss battle has about three real phases to it so this may take a few tries before players are able to nail it down. Throughout the entire boss battle, players must throw fruit within the yellow areas of Dr N. Gin. Keep this in mind as you go through the three phases of the boss battle.
Within the first phase, Dr N. Gin will fire off lasers while the second phase he will begin to fire off missiles. You must avoid being hit when possible, especially by the missiles which will indicate where they will land by red markings on the platforms Crash Bandicoot has at his disposal.
While the red markings will showcase just where the missiles will hit, there will be a controlled missile fired that can follow you around briefly. During the third phase of the fight, Dr N. Gin will fire a ray which will destroy a platform you’re standing on. It’s best to throw your fruit whenever possible even during this final phase though it will make for some close calls.
Dr. Neo Cortex
Surprisingly, Dr. Neo Cortex is an easy boss to defeat even though he will be your last boss fight in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. Within the fight, Dr. Neo Cortex will be running away and you have to follow him by avoiding the obstacles. When you get close enough to perform a spin attack to hit Cortex. You’ll need to do this a total of three times to defeat the final boss for the game.
