Balrog (First Battle)
- HP: 60
- Weapon: Polar Star
Balrog is an assistant to the Doctor and has also been cursed by the Demon Crown. There is a total of three battles you’ll face against Balrog.
The first battle is actually optionally when you meet Balrog. Once Misery has taken Toroko to the doctor within the Shack, Balrog will notice your weapon.
Upon noticing the weapon, Balrog will ask you if the weapon will be used against him. This is where you’ll have the option to say yes or no. By saying yes, Balrog’s battle will begin while saying no will allow players to skip the battle.
Within the battle, Balrog’s attacks are pretty easy to remember as he mainly goes left to right of the screen with a small hop from time-to-time. It’s recommended that you use the Polar Star weapon and unload on him.
There is also the added benefit of a small block that players can jump onto where they will be completely safe against Balrog. However, due to the weapon’s parallel shot, you will not be able to defeat Balrog from this position.
Igor
- HP: 300
- Weapon: Polar Star & Missile Launcher
Igor is a rabid Mimiga that is able to communicate. Coming straight from the Balrgo battle, Igor will be a bit tougher with 300 HP.
You’ll find Igor within the Egg Corridor where he takes Sue to Egg No. 00. Once he notices that you are by, Igor becomes angered and the battle begins.
Igor has two main starting attacks, he will charge and punch you if you’re too close though being far away, Igor will leap and stomp on you. So for the most part, you’ll have to find that sweet spot for the battle.
Once you have depleted Igor’s health to about halfway, you will find that the boss will start using a third attack. This particular attack will allow Igor to shoot out white rings from his mouth. When touched, these rings will do damage to our main protagonist. Luckily, however, you can destroy these rings with the Polar Star weapon.
With that said, the best option to defeat Igor is by using the Missile Launcher while switching to the Polar Star when having to get rid of the white rings.
Balrog (Second Battle)
- HP: 240
- Weapons: Polar Star & Missile Launcher
Balrog is back again where players will see him in the Power Supply Room. This time around, Balrog has direct orders from the Doctor to destroy you along with the newly added ability of flight. The boss has a set of wings that will give him a brief moment of flight, though he mainly moves the same as he did the first time you faced against him.
However, after Balrog’s health starts to drain, his movements are a bit more random as he leaps around the map. Much like Igor, Balrog can shoot out white rings which, again, can be destroyed by using the Polar Star weapon.
The best way to destroy Balrog is by using a Missile Launcher until you are forced into using the Polar Star weapon. If you need a break from the chaos, you can jump on top of Balrog’s head and he will be unable to land any attacks on you.
Balfrog
- HP: 300
- Weapon: Fireball
Balfrog is another version of Balrog players will have to fight against in the Bushlands. In fact, players will have to defeat him before they are able to leave the Gum Base.
There’s a bit more going on when you fight Balfrog. The enemy can jump causing mini and at times big frogs to drop down from the ceiling which you’ll have to deal with. To top it off, players can’t just spam their attack at any part of the body for Balfrog nor can they simply jump over the enemy.
Balfrog can only take hits when his mouth is open which is also when he sends out red projectiles to use against you. The best option to destroy Balfrog is by using the Fireball weapon, which should destroy the red projectiles and land in the mouth of Balfrog to cause damage.
If you find that Balfrog is getting too close, you can jump over the boss by simply using the fans located on either side of the map.
Curly
- HP: 320
- Weapon: Fireball
Curly is another protagonist within the game that is sent to the island in order to destroy the dark power that lays within it.
When you face against Curly, she will use a machine gun that is capable of spraying out a number of bullets, though, on the downside, the gun is required to be charged up.
Within the battle, you’ll also find that the Colons will become an issue, though they are not to worry about when being hit as they don’t deal much damage.
One weapon in particular that won’t do any good during this battle is the Missile Launcher as Curly can deploy a shield that blocks the missiles out. Likewise, you can’t jump over Curly as she can aim above with her machine gun.
The best way to defeat her is to wait until she finishes charging her machine gun, just before she fires, you will want to hold the jump button where you’ll land likely right after she finishes her first blast of bullets. It’s here that you’ll want to make use of the Fireball weapon. Simply repeat the process until you win the battle.
