Headup Games has announced today that The Inner World will be released on consoles. On March 31st 2017, the game will make its debut on consoles, with revised controls now featuring direct gamepad controls.
In 2014, The Inner World was awarded with the most prestigious award as “Best German Game” at the “Computer Game Awards”, held and organized by the German government and the leading industry associations. Ever since, the game has built up a huge following among PC and mobile gamers.
The Inner World of Asposia is a mysterious one. Surrounded by soil and refusing to obey all laws of physics, it is located in an enormous hollow space, which is ventilated through three big wind fountains.
Robert, the protagonist, is a naive and cheerful novice of the last wind monastery. He lives a simple life as a court musician in the shadows of his honored master and ideal Conroy. One day, one of the fountains runs dry and the Windgods befall peaceful Asposia.
Together with the mysterious thief Laura, Robert sets out to solve the secret behind the disappearance of the winds. During his adventure, he not only meets bizarre Asposians, but also really strange animals. In addition, Robert has to solve some tricky puzzles.
In the summer of 2017, all TIW fans will get the chance to take another trip to Asposia and protect the world from an unexpected threat in the successor, The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk which will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, iOS, Android, Mac, and Linux.
