Independent developer Mimimi Productions (The Last Tinker: City of Colors) will be serving up players a slice of hardcore tactical stealth in their upcoming title Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun.
The game lets players control a team of five deadly specialists who must out-dodge, outwit and out-sneak dozens of enemies. Each of the playable characters – ninja, samurai, geisha, trapper and sniper – are simultaneously playable and come with their own unique, versatile skills.
Structurally, Shadow Tactics is comprised of 13 missions in a classic vertical 3D top-down perspective, which promises roughly 25 hours worth of strategic stealth gameplay. The vertical perspective is key to careful plan execution, such as jumping from roof to roof and silently taking out enemies from above.
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is releasing for PC, Mac and Linux on December 6. PS4 and Xbox One versions are planned for 2017. In the mean time, you can try out the free demo on Steam or GOG.com.
