Titanfall didn’t offer anything in the form of a single-player campaign. Light on story and even lighter still on worldbuilding, the first game did little to engage its players outside of its online multiplayer gameplay.
The upcoming Titanfall 2 aims to offer a story that may turn out to be more memorable and engaging than most gamers are expecting.
Today, the game’s developer Respawn Games released a trailer for Titanfall 2 to showcase a small segment of the single-player campaign that follows the story of Jack Cooper, a rifleman-turned-pilot after the original pilot of the Vanguard class Titan BT-7274 was killed in action.
Together, Jack and BT (as the robot is called) must establish trust and save their people from extinction.
The game is set to release on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on October 28.
