Mafia 3 had a bad launch on the PC due to numerous bugs and a framerate cap of 30fps. Much of that has been remedied with the release of the game’s first major patch on the PC, which arrived over the weekend.
The patch was announced on the same day the game was released in response to complaints about the framerate.
The new patch alleviates some of the complaints PC gamers have had with the crime title by adding 60fps and unlimited framerate support. If you’ve yet to update the game, simply restart your Steam client and it should automatically queue up for download. The patch weighs in at about 1.2gb.
To unlock your framerate, head on into the graphics options in the game and toggle the framerate to 60fps or Unlimited to make the most out of your graphics card.
In addition, the patch also adds some customizability and improvements to keybindings.
Other issues like the low quality rear-view mirror and buggy main menu for ultrawide displays remain, however.
