Blizzard spokesperson Micah Whipple announced today that their plan to release patch 1.0.3b for Diablo 3 has been delayed.
The patch was originally intended for release this week, and is designed to address a number of major issues. Notably, loot drops in the later acts of Inferno difficulty are set to receive an increase in higher iLvl equipment so players will have a lot less trash in their inventory to deal with and won't have to grind as much as they do to reasonably equip themselves.
Due to the delay of the patch, the aforementioned tweaks to the loot drops will be released through a hotfix today so players won't have to wait for however long it takes for the main patch to come out.
Good on Blizzard for giving the players what they want.
