June 4, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Details of Gears of War: Judgment’s multiplayer have leaked ahead of schedule.

Gears of War: Judgment is the latest entry in Epic Games' ever-popular Gears of War franchise, and it's being developed by Bulletstorm studio People Can Fly.

Like its predecessors, Gears of War: Judgment is set to feature a heavy multiplayer component and thanks to advance copies of the upcoming issue of GameInformer, we have a solid idea of how the game's multiplayer mode is supposed to work.

The information was leaked ahead of the magazine's official release date. A proper reveal of Gears of War: Judgment is expected to be made at the Microsoft conference at E3.

In any case, here's what we know.

Multiplayer will be class-based, split between two teams: the Locust, and the COG.

Cog Classes:

  • Baird – Engineer
  • Weapons: Gnasher and Blowtorch
  • Special abilities: Sentry turret
  • Tip: Blowtorch repairs damaged fortifications

  • Cole – Soldier
  • Weapons: Lancer and Boomshot
  • Special abilities: Deploy ammo crates
  • Tip: Toss ammo to engineer to give him infinite Blowtorch ammo

  • Sofia – Medic
  • Weapons: Lancer and Snub Pistol
  • Special Abilities: Stun gas grenades
  • Tip: Toss grenade at downed allies to revive them

  • Garron – Scout
  • Weapons: Longshot and Snub Pistol
  • Special Abilities: Beacon Grenade
  • Tip: Climb perches for better sniping leverage

Locust Classes:

  • Wretches
  • Tickers
  • Kantus
  • “Grenadier mauler blood mounts”
  • Corpses
  • Serapedes

Multiplayer will also include an "Overrun Mode" with COG versus Locust.
