The sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us that came out back in 2013 has been apparently leaked by Gamestop shortly before the game’s presumed E3 announcement. The first tweet about it seemed to have come from @CollapseControl on Twitter, who tweeted a screenshot of a promotional poster. The image itself depicts Batman about ready to punch Flash straight up in the face.

Making a subtle jab at the apparent leak, NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon himself took to Twitter with a reply. If there was a hypothetical party thrown by him, famous people like Taylor Swift and George Clooney would be invited, but Gamestop is no longer welcome on that guest list.

Given Ed’s reaction, we can safely assume that Gamestop was given some sort of promotional material, and an overeager employee couldn’t wait to share the Injustice news with everyone. For people who don’t remember what the game was about, Injustice: Gods Among Us was a 2013 video game directed by Ed Boon in which Superman takes over the world and goes to war with Batman’s band of rogue superheroes. This leads to crazy stuff involving alternate universes and lots of fighting, of course.
