THQ has released a new cinematic trailer for the upcoming Darksiders II. Entiteld Death Strikes, the two minute clip showcases an epic battle between new protagonist Death and some of the game's foes, big and small. The entire thing is quite visually stunning, but the graphics on display aren't using the in-game assets, so don't get too excited.
Sure, it's not gameplay footage, and it doesn't actually show us anything we didn't already know about the game, but it's hard to complain about something with so much scythey goodness. As this trailer is being billed as the first installment of a longer series, we've likely got a whole lot more of these clips to look forward to in the months leading up to the game's release.
Darksiders II is out on the PS3, 360, and PC this June 26 in North America and June 29 in Europe. A Wii U version is slated to follow once the console has been released.
