SWEGTA has shared some heartfelt messages following the launch of Bully Online.

Bully Online is a mod that creates a new living open world for multiplayer Bully. The mod goes beyond offering multiplayer, by reviving cut and beta content that didn’t make it in the original game.
Thanking The Fans
SWEGTA first shared this message immediately after the launch:
Bully Online’s launch has been amazing.
You guys have provided a lot of very useful feedback, and the team is eager to improve and expand on as much as we can.
Thank you for playing it, covering it, suggesting ideas, and for being part of this journey.
We’ll keep you updated on new content and fixes.
So that’s a nice and heartfelt message thanking the fans who jumped in and played on their servers. But SWEGTA wasn’t done.
Rockstar And Their Modding Community
He then shared this message, explaining how he felt about not just Bully Online, but the community that’s been making mods for Rockstar’s games in general.
SWEGTA said this:
Multiplayer mods like SA-MP, MTA, and FiveM have benefited Rockstar Games greatly over the years.
It prolongs interest in their older games, enables fans to connect and bond over their love for these games, and sparks excitement in the community.
Bully Online, whether it gets shut down or not, is what happens when you have a passionate fanbase, 19 years later.
Fat Pigeon Development is a small but dedicated group of enthusiastic people who are simply giving the Rockstar Games community what they want.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly supportive and fans are happier than they’ve been in a very long time.
If there’s ever a sign that Bully 2 should happen, then this is it.
People want this mod and they want more Bully. Please recognize the potential and desire for a sequel, and let the community enjoy what they have.
Did SWEGTA Prove Fans Want A Bully 2?
SWEGTA and their mod studio Fat Pigeon Development didn’t share metrics on how many people signed up for Bully Online’s servers, and how many people are playing right now.
We doubt that SWEGTA can make a definite case that Rockstar and Take-Two would make money making a Bully 2.
But he makes his point in a more general sense. The fact that there were fans who took great pains to make this mod, and there are people playing the mod now, proves there’s interest in a Bully 2.
We think Rockstar has to think of many things before the even consider making a Bully 2. But maybe this should be the prompt for them to make this game as a new sub franchise, maybe with a smaller team from all the bigger Rockstar divisions, or partnering with another studio.
In fact, we may have already seen the studio that should make this right now.
