Lucas7yoshi revealed that Rockstar is planning a really familiar sounding Adversary Mode for Grand Theft Auto Online.

He revealed this on Twitter:
A new adversary mode, taking place at the mansion, is coming at some point, called (very imaginatively) “Mansion Raid.”
Two teams, attackers who plant bombs at sites, and defenders who defuse them. Unclear when it’ll release.
I’ll get footage of the animations in a little bit.
Another Twitter user, soolpurr, made the fitting comment to this rumor:
We got CS2 in GTA 5 before GTA 6 lol
Do We Really Need Counter-Strike In Grand Theft Auto Online?
Grand Theft Auto Online’s Adversary Modes have mostly functioned as fun diversions. Rockstar hasn’t built story based or large scale multiplayer campaigns around them.
You’re more likely to get multiplayer fun in the long run in the races than in these time limited modes. Still, Rockstar has mostly fed the appetite for this kind of PvP modes for the fans who want them.
A Counter-Strike style mode but built around Grand Theft Auto Online definitely has some real novelty behind it.
The Mansion Raid does sound like something that they could build with real consequences for Mansion owners. This isn’t like Cayo Perico; you could take over someone’s mansion when the dust clears.
Alternately, you could be losing the mansion that you saved up so much money for. But maybe for some players, that could be a thrill in itself.
It Probably Won’t Be That Ambitious
While it would be interesting to play this mode in some players’ actual mansions, we do have to be a bit more realistic.
Rockstar likely didn’t invest that much effort into such an Adversary Mode, especially if that mode isn’t going to stick around past the weekly rotation.
So we suspect this mode will be based on a unique mansion. Alternately, they could make a custom version of the mansions that you can buy, but one that’s owned by an NPC.
In any case, Rockstar gave players a Mission Creator, so that they could actually build out a mode like they wanted. With all that said, it will be interesting to see what Lucas7yoshi shares in the future.
And it will also be interesting to see if this does make it to the game at some point in the future. Because in spite of all the aggressive datamining, there’s no guarantee that any of these things that fans find will be officially added in.
