Borderlands 4 didn’t have the smoothest of launches. It came out earlier this month, ahead of the previously scheduled release date. However, it was clear to many PC players that it could have benefited from the extra time. Performance wasn’t always the best, according to reports online. Fortunately, the developers have been working to deliver optimization patches to ensure that things run more smoothly.
The developers might have been working on finetuning performance on the PC platform, but console players were not left behind. One of the aspects that Borderlands 4 console players have highlighted is the need for a FOV slider. Fans heavily requested it, and it appears that the developers were more than aware of it.
Borderlands 4 Devs Highlight FOV Slider
Console players finally received the FOV slider in the latest patch update. That is a big requested fan feature that can be marked off. Now, developers are taking the time to highlight that this option can be found in the menu settings. So, if you’re playing Borderlands 4 on Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5, give it a shot.
FOV, for those unaware, is to help adjust your field of view. This way, if you find things to be a little too close while playing or are getting a tunnel vision feel, this FOV slider will help fix that. While it would have been nice to have this setting right from the start, we’re at least entering the weekend with some freedom to adjust how much of the game world we’ll see as we play the game.
That said, while console players have FOV options with this update, it’s not without some issues. This update has changed in ways that are both better and worse, which you can read more about right here. Likewise, it’s worth noting that for those on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform, the game has been delayed indefinitely.
