The Ghost Of Hope believes that Battlefield 6 will be more impressive than gamers currently expect it to be.
Where Is Battlefield’s Reputation Now?
Battlefield 2042 threw the franchise’s reputation into the mud before EA decided to launch this large scale reboot of the Battlefield. EA has experimented with the franchise in the last decade. Battlefield One was an unexpected return to the franchise’s roots as a historical military shooter, while Battlefield Hardline took another wild swing to a cops-and-robbers theme.

Battlefield 2042 was a similar experiment, but DICE released a broken and incomplete game that took them years to fix to where they and their players expected it to be. In the end, Battlefield 2042 made enough money so it was not considered a failure. But EA understood they needed to had to deal with the reputational damage it caused.
What Is Ghost Of Hope Saying Now?
The Ghost Of Hope shared this on Twitter:
Supposedly what Battlefield is gonna reveal tomorrow might have Call of Duty actually worried for once..
What’s interesting is that Twitter users ModernWarzone and Tom Henderson also shared similar sentiments. He also made it clear that he is not talking about a potential battle royale mode.
What Could This Be?
Everyone who shares this sentiment is being vague and evasive about it. We have supposedly also gotten a lot of leaks out of Battlefield Labs. So this could be something that isn’t obvious when you just watch other people’s gameplay. It’s also possible even the leakers have respected Battlefield Studios enough not to leak it.
We can’t really make any huge guesses on what it could be. But The Ghost Of Hope is talking about something else in the comparison between Battlefield and Call of Duty.
Call Of Duty Needs Competition
The Ghost Of Hope also shared this sentiment on Twitter:
The amount of people who don’t understand that Battlefield is trying to target the MASSIVE playerbase that just wants to log on and shoot their gun and have fun by themselves or with friends is staggering…
Call of Duty has lacked the fun factor for a few years now but especially in Black Ops 6 with the artificial maps/game design… There is a reason casuals liked MW19 and a big reason for that is because it had good gunplay…
Maybe there’s no big secret hiding for Battlefield 6. Vince Zampella might have simply gotten Battlefield Studios to make a game that will look immediately fun the first time we look at it. Even loyal Call of Duty fans say that they have not felt like that for some time.
Zampella was not only a former developer on the Call of Duty franchise. He also led Titanfall to critical success and found even bigger commercial success with Apex Legends. So could Zampella really revive Battlefield? We might be finding out in a matter of hours.
