Bethesda was once developing a PlayStation Portable version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion that would have been part of a new ‘Travels’ series but the project was canceled.
New information and footage from the project has emerged but the videos, which include commentary and various builds of the game, have been taken down as a result of copyright claims by Bethesda’s owner Zenimax Media.
NeoGAF users have managed to piece together the relevant information for posterity before it was removed and you can read the story behind the game and its cancellation on Unseen 64.
The game wasn’t open world due to the PSP’s hardware limitations but did include a hub area and multiple regions of Tamriel.
Some fans are trying to create a playable version in future but they will likely get a call from Bethesda’s lawyers pretty quickly.

The last major game in the series, Skyrim, was released in 2011 while Zenimax Online launched The Elder Scrolls Online in 2014.
We may learn more about the future of the series during Bethesda’s E3 press conference on June 12th.
