The news from Ubisoft hasn’t been the greatest last year. We’ve seen plenty of details emerge online, ranging from interest in buyouts to stock prices falling to a record low as we entered 2025. Regardless, fans are still hopeful that Ubisoft can turn things around and deliver some solid hits into the marketplace. One of the big releases coming from this company is Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Assassin’s Creed is a pillar franchise for Ubisoft with a long history of releases. Some have been better than others, but one installment that hopes to see a warm reception is Assassin’s Creed Shadows. If you ask one developer, this upcoming installment will start a brand new era for this IP. A lead animator for Ubisoft who goes by DannyGee01 on X alerted their followers that while they work for Ubisoft, there are plenty of games that he doesn’t even play.
According to the post, Ubisoft employees can enjoy all their games for free on their PCs. Likewise, you are granted two free games on a console per year. One of the games Dan personally can’t wait for is Assassin’s Creed Shadows. But will it live up to the hype? That is the question on plenty of players’ minds.
We already have an idea of the game’s length, and it was previously stated in the past month that Naoe would be the fastest assassin in the entire franchise’s history. But again, this is a major release from Ubisoft, and we’re sure that the developers are striving to ensure this is a game with a strong reception rather than a title filled with bugs.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is nearing its release. Ubisoft is set to launch the installment on February 14, 2025. When the title finally hits the marketplace, it will be available on the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
