Fortnite is still going strong and keeping players engaged. Thanks to developers securing crossover events and collaborations, we always find new content heading into the game. However, with the Halloween spooky season upon us, we expect new content to hit several games, including the fan-favorite battle royale title. Fortnite will soon have its Fortnitemares event, and while we don’t have the official confirmation, a leak has unveiled when this event will kick off.
Thanks to Gamerant, we’re discovering today that HYPEX, who has leaked Fortnite-related content in the past, has unveiled the release date for the new Fortnitemares event. If proven to be correct, this event will officially begin on October 15, 2024. So we don’t have to wait too long before we can get into this new content. That should give you a bit of a countdown right now for the event despite the development team not yet revealing the actual release date.
For those unaware, Fortnitemares is a seasonal event. Like others, this event will bring new cosmetics, challenges, and rewards. We’re uncertain right now what will be featured in this year’s event. As mentioned, nothing official has come out quite yet, so that is still very much under wraps.
September is wrapping up fast and we should soon start seeing more developers highlight the horror content coming to their various games for the month of October. Of course, there are some titles that have already saw the release of this content in their games. For Call of Duty fans, we have been enjoying The Haunting event.
Fortnite players will need to wait just a little while longer to dive into the spooky content. Again, since this is not an official confirmation of the release date, we have to just label this more of a rumor right now despite the more reliable source it’s coming from. But at the same time, if October 15, 2024, is the date when Fortnitemares will begin, an announcement from Epic should be coming sooner rather than later. In the meantime, you can view last year’s Fortnitemares event in the video embedded below.
