Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III & Warzone Will Bring Back The Haunting

September 10, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

Get spooked!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is still heavily enjoyed today, while fans are waiting for the next installment of the FPS franchise. Although the next game doesn’t arrive until October, developers still give players a reason to keep enjoying the current installment. Today, we have the official confirmation that The Haunting event is kicking off next week.

We’re a little into September, and while we haven’t hit the official fall season yet, this month typically kicks off all things spooky. Halloween is around the corner, and with it comes a slew of events and themed content hitting video games. Today, we’re finding a new trailer drop for the current Call of Duty title that confirms The Haunting will arrive on September 18, 2024. This trailer also gives us a small look at some of the character skins that will be available.

The Haunting is essentially the Call of Duty Halloween themed event. This typically includes various crossovers from iconic horror franchises, new themed maps, modes, and events. But the latest trailer just briefly examines what’s to come. The trailer has characters like Halloween’s Michael Myers and Art the Clown popping up. Of course, there might be others that you’ll recognize in the trailer or later dropped into the game.

Season six for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone will kick off on September 18, 2024, as previously mentioned. So, those of you still chipping away at the previous season will still have a little more time. Meanwhile, the rest of us can wait for the official kick-off on the spooky content the developers have prepared for us this coming week.

You can view the latest trailer highlighting The Haunting event in the video embedded below. Meanwhile, players can find Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. That said, those of you who have access to Xbox Game Pass will find the title on the subscription service.
