2024 continues to rage on, and we’ve already had some big video game releases across all the big platforms. The next one to release is only a few days away via Stellar Blade. The action title has been getting buzz for various reasons throughout its life, especially in the last few weeks, thanks to its demo and new trailers. However, if you still need a reason to get hyped for it, or you want to see more of Eve in action in her universe, there’s a way for you to do that without playing the game or buying anything extra.
The team behind the title tweeted a special link to a special motion comic today! The Stellar Blade motion comic features the main character, Eve, facing off against Tachy. You can see the tweet and link below:
While we won’t spoil too much of the comic, we will say that it acts as a prologue to the main story. In it, Eve and Tachy train with one another and get ready to head to Earth as a certain “protocol” has been activated. Eve is ready, but she has worries and concerns about the mission and whether the two would be helped if something were to go wrong. Tachy, meanwhile, is trying to comfort Eve and state that they will save the Earth, no matter what.
Those who know the events of the demo understand the irony of some of what we just described. Don’t worry; we won’t spoil that either. Regardless, the motion comic is rather beautiful and helps give more insight into some of the characters you’ll see in the game.
If you don’t know the game’s story, it’s set in a post-apocalyptic future where a “malevolent force” known as the Naytiba has covered the Earth, nearly wiping out every part of humanity. Those that did survive were forced into space via a colony known as the Mother Sphere. There, humanity remained until they finally felt it was time to reclaim the planet. That’s where Eve comes in. She’s part of the 7th Airborne Squad, and others, such as Tachy, are sent to Earth to try and retake their homeworld.
The title doesn’t just have a deep plot but intense gameplay that will put your skills to the test. Not to mention, thanks to the PS5’s graphics, the title will look stunning. How will the game hold up overall? We’ll find out on April 26th!
