After being delisted from digital storefronts in 2019 due to expired music licenses, Obsidian Entertainment‘s spy RPG Alpha Protocol is now available on PC via GOG. A launch trailer has been uploaded to celebrate the title’s return.
The game’s new release includes several modern updates, including achievements, full controller support, and a licensed soundtrack to ensure the same issue doesn’t happen again in the future. It also has full localization and cloud saves, and is fully compatible with modern systems.
Alpha Protocol was initially released in 2010 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It follows the story of agent Michael Thorton, a recruit at a U.S. agency called Alpha Protocol, which conducts covert operations for the government.
“Loyalty carries a price and no one knows this more than agent Michael Thorton,” reads the game’s description. “A talented young agent cast out by his government, Thorton is the only one with the information needed to stop an impending international catastrophe. To do so means he must cut himself off from the very people he is sworn to protect.

Alpha Protocol is now available DRM-free via GOG and is 10 percent off until April 3, bringing the cost down to $17.99.
