They were known for delivering some thrilling single-player gameplay experiences. However, their first release into the marketplace while under the Xbox banner was a massive flop. Redfall didn’t hit the expectations of fans and critics alike. Despite that, it’s a title that still sees support from the studio. But what their next project will be remains a mystery. That mystery might be unveiled this week if an industry insider is to be believed.
Thanks to Reddit, we’re finding out that Nate the Hate, a credible industry insider, recently offered their views on The Game Awards. This big ceremony event is set to take place later this week. As a result, there are bound to be plenty of new interesting video game reveals. One of those might be whatever Arkane is working on now. Of course, there’s no confirmation now that Arkane will have a new game to reveal. But that hasn’t stopped fans from sharing their hopes of what could be unveiled online. For instance, fans are hopeful to see a new installment to the Dishonored series.
Dishonored has been a popular single-player stealth game franchise. However, we haven’t received a new game in quite some time. Instead, we’ve seen Arkane deliver Deathloop and then Redfall. It’s been clear that the studio’s strengths are for single-player video game experiences. So, it would be surprising to see if their next game is centered around a multiplayer-focused game like Redfall. We might also see the next game released under Arkane Lyon as their Arkane Austin had recently just put out Redfall, so there’s not too much speculation that this team will have another game ready to be revealed to the public for a little while.
