We haven’t seen any new installments to the Turok franchise since the reboot, Turok, which released back in 2008 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Overall, the series is focused on a primitive world inhabited by dinosaurs and creatures.
Originally, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil released on PC in the late 1990s and later for the Nintendo 64. Though they would both get a digital re-release by Night Dive Studios years later in 2015.
The newly released remastered editions of the first two Turok video game titles not only received enhanced graphics but a slew of other improvements. Now these two digital re-releases will see a launch on Microsoft’s latest console, the Xbox One.
As mentioned, the announcement came in a form of a tweet in which the Night Dive Studios confirmed a release for the Xbox One with a follow-up tweet stating that other consoles are currently being evaluated. Unfortunately, there is no release date set for when the two titles will launch on Xbox One. Previously, Night Dive Studios was confirmed to be working on an upcoming System Shock remaster.
