With the recent revelation of Gears of War 4, which ushers the series into creative direction of The Coalition instead of its studio of origin Epic Games, new details are surfacing about some of the technical logistics.
In a recent video interview with GameInformer, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson sat down to answer a whopping 105 questions about Gears of War 4 in five minutes, the most important details of which were then cherry picked by Gamespot. According to their summary, he states that the game will run at a resolution of 1080p and 30fps for campaign, and 60fps for multiplayer mode (a figure for resolution was not given).
He also gave hope that PC players will get a chance to play the game, answering that a computer-based version would “possibly” be coming. The video covers a lot of great tidbits on the lore, gameplay and other details of the Gears of War universe so be sure to check out the whole interview.
Despite Fergusson’s cautious response, this is not the first hint that Gears of War 4 could come to PC; the head of marketing at Xbox One previously brought up the possibility. Recently the series did make its way to PC by way of Gears of War Ultimate Edition, which released very suddenly last week during a very brief gap following its announcement. This latest game will feature three playable characters, one of whom is a woman, and another, the long lost son of previous Gears of War protagonist Marcus Fenix.
