Nintendo announced during a Direct stream in November that the original Pokemon titles will be making their way to Virtual Console on 3DS via the eShop and now we now just how large they're going to be to download.
The games will take up 11MB of space on your system. While the titles themselves are only around 1MB, the remainder is taken up by the emulator they're running on. 1MB is equivalent to 8 blocks so you'll need 88 blocks of free space to download one of the games.
Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow are all being released on February 27th, 2016 to mark the series' 20th anniversary. Green was never released outside Japan but its remake, LeafGreen, was.
Serebii reports that the file sizes were revealed from Japanese download cards for the games, where special 2DS bundles and physical versions will be released alongside the digital versions.
