The Xbox One control scheme for Fallout 4 has been revealed via Smartglass.
A four page manual was uploaded for the game via the Microsoft exclusive app. Without further ado, here’s how the game controls have been mapped out:
LB – VATS
RB – Bash / Power Attack / [hold] for Grenade
LT – Aim / Block
RT – Attack
Back – Toggle POV
Start – Pause
L – Move
L – [click] Sprint
R – Look
R – [click] Sneak
Y – Jump
B – Pipboy
X – Ready / Reload
A – Activate
PAD – Favorites
PAD + A – Select Favorite
As you can see, the biggest changes are new bash and sprint abilities, and grenade throwing being reduced to a button hold. Previously, players had to go through their weapon inventory to throw a grenade.
Bethesda claims they requested help from id Software to polish up the gunplay mechanics. This was apparently the first thing they did, to tap id’s specialization for the better of the game overall.
Fallout 4 will be released on November 10, 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
