Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg was sent a birthday gift from Sony PlayStation for his 26th birthday in the form of a custom DualShock 4 controller, the YouTube personality shared on Twitter Monday.
"I went for a late snack, but found a treasure," Kjellberg wrote on Twitter. "Thanks for this brilliant gift @PlayStation!"
Sony had sent Kjellberg a birthday cake, complete with layers of frosting made to look like the PlayStation face buttons and the phrase, “Greatness awaits inside,” a play on the PlayStation 4 tagline “Greatness awaits,” written on the top, and “Happy birthday PewDiePie” written on the side of the cake. Upon cutting into the cake, Kjellberg found said custom PS4 controller. The controller is primarily white, with PlayStation’s triangle, square, X, and circle icons spread across the controller, and the number 26 with Kjellberg’s online handle “PewDiePie” written on the touchpad.
Kjellberg recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about his YouTube channel and the fact that he makes video game-related videos for living. In September, Kjellberg’s channel set a new record for the highest amount of views across an entire channel with 10 billion views. His channel currently has over 40 million subscribers.
