Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive have lifted the veil off their upcoming game, Styx: Shards of Darkness. It's a successor to Styx: Master of Shadows, and is being built from the ground up. Like its predecessor, the game is a stealth-action title that focuses on cloak and dagger stuff.
The developers say that the game will feature a bigger budget, bigger ideas, and will be running on the Unreal Engine 4 this time around.
The game will offer a deeper, "more complex narrative" with a "fully realized world."
It's been in development for the past six months, and today the developers are ready to show off its first screenshot, which sees Styx the goblin putting his skills to work within the heart of Korangar, one of the many large mission areas that the player can explore.
Styx: Shards of Darkness comes to PS4, Xbox One, and PC next year.
