God Of War: Ragnarok Could Launch In September, According To Leak

May 30, 2022 by Alexandra Nicholson

A new leak suggests a potential release window for the hotly-anticipated God of War: Ragnarok. As reported in IGN, a new Twitter find could give excited fans a bit more of an idea as to when the sequel to the hit God of War may land on PlayStation consoles.

While it feels like it’s been a lifetime since we had any solid news about the release of God of War: Ragnarok, news out of Korea earlier this month has breathed a bit of new life into the idea that it could be coming sooner rather than later. The Korean Ratings Board officially rated God of War: Ragnarok, suggesting that we could be seeing the game ready for launch in the not too distant future.

Anyhow, over on Twitter, an eagle-eyed user has discovered some God of War: Ragnarok merchandise, such as apparel, toys and other merch, was listed on UK retailer Geeky Zone, with the majority of the items having an estimated release date at the back end of September.

Interestingly, the same source later confirmed that the merchandise has since been removed from the website, potentially lending greater credibility to the suggested window of late September.

While of course, this doesn’t prove anything in cast-iron terms, it’s certainly an interesting development and could give players a bit more of a clue as to when the game will be out. After all, we do know that the game has a confirmed release date for this year, and with it being almost halfway through 2022, there can’t be that much longer to wait for the next instalment of Kratos’ adventures.

In other news, the original God of War is rumoured to be making an appearance as one of June’s featured games on PS+. This might be another sign that marketing efforts for God of War: Ragnarok are about to kick into full swing, but as always, with all leaks and rumours, it’s best to take things with a big pinch of salt until official updates are revealed.
