Bethesda has released a new video for Arkane's upcoming Dishonored 2, which puts the focus on the game's setting, the city of Karnaca.
The publisher says the southern city, it's acutally the souternment metropolis in the Empire of the Isles, will lend itself to the overall feel of the game in the same way the city of Dunwall shaped players' experiences in the original.
Away from "chilly, industrial Dunwall," Karnaca is sunnier and hotter, with pleasant beaches and lush flora for players to explore.
“Karnaca is called the jewel of the south,” says Arkane’s Co-Creative Director Harvey Smith.
It's by no means a paradise however. Instead of Dunwall's rats players have swarms of blood flies to deal with. These insects nest in corpses and bring their own challenges for Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano, depending on which character you choose to play as.
Dishonored 2 launches in 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
