Sony released the patch notes for update 1.09 coming to Gran Turismo 7 today, March 25. The new update brings improvements to several aspects of the racing game such as the Daytona International Speedway, online races, and more. One of the major fixes in the update concerns a critical issue that would cause game progression to reset if the game was “started with an unstable network connection.” Any time players lose progress due to a bug in the game is a major problem, and could strongly affect the game’s player count. Fans will be glad to hear this issue has now been resolved.
Gran Turismo 7 was only released earlier this month on March 4, exclusively for PS4 and PS5. While it has received generally favorable reviews from critics and gamers, it has also been heavily criticized for its microtransactions and grind. As the game ages, hopefully, developers take player criticism into account and make the necessary changes.
