Final Fantasy is a massive franchise. It’s been around for years and continues to thrive today with new installments. However, for franchise fans, it’s clear that some installments stick out better than the rest. One of those massively beloved titles is Final Fantasy 7. The game was released back on the original PlayStation, and for years fans have requested Square Enix to bring out a remake. Fortunately, the studio finally caved and brought out the first part of a remake.
Because the game is so massive, the studio has to work in parts for the video game release. With the first part out, players can enjoy the game right now. However, you’ll need to either own a PlayStation 4 or a PlayStation 5. That’s the only platform this game installment is on right now. We’ve been waiting to see just how long if this time exclusive deal would last or if we would ever receive the game on other platforms. A recent tweet from the official China Xbox account might have let the Final Fantasy 7 remake port slip.
Apparently, the Xbox China Twitter account referred to Final Fantasy 7 remake. As expected, it wasn’t long before the tweet was deleted. Now, this has left fans wondering if we might get an announcement soon. We know that November holds a special broadcast for Xbox to celebrate the 20th anniversary. Perhaps that will be a big event to finally announce Xbox ports for Final Fantasy 7 remake along with a PC release. Although nothing is official yet so hold your excitement.
This could be some rather big news for Xbox players who have been waiting on the remake. Of course, the same could be said for PC players, but for now, we’ll have to wait and see just what Xbox unveils during their stream broadcast. In the meantime, players can enjoy the first part of the remake as mentioned through PS4 and PS5. Unfortunately, we’re uncertain at the moment just how many parts this remake will consist of, so there could be several more releases inbound.
