Age of Wonders III has served fans with a number of free updates since its release, and its latest update, which brings the game up to version 1.5, happens to be its largest to date. This massive free update comes with the launch of the Eternal Lords expansion pack.
Eternal Lords, for those not in the know, is the game's second major expansion and introduces the Tigran and Frostling races into the fray, along with a new Necromancer class for players to play as. The player must adapt to a world on the brink of cataclysmic change. It's like Global Warming, only worse.
Among the new features being added in the expansion are the new Race Governance system, which allows players to tailor the features of each race in their empire to meet their strategic needs, adding new layers of depth to empire development and diplomacy.
Here's everything the expansion also includes a new asynchronous mode that allows players to take their turn in their own time, upload their save game to Triumph's servers, and send an e-mail to other players to take their turn.
Eternal Lords and the Mac and Linux versions of the game are set for an April 14th 2015 release and available via online stores such as Steam and GoG. The expansion costs EUR/USD 19.99. New comers can buy the Age of Wonders III: Collection Bundle with includes all DLC.
Pick it up on Steam.
