We have a new source that claims Batman: Arkham Knight will introduce a new game mechanic, as well as a new tool, to help make the game more fun. This information comes to us courtesy of YouTuber RedGamingTech, whom you can subscribe to here.
First off is a new chain grapnel. With this new tool, Bruce will be able to quickly ascend Gotham’s ever taller skyscrapers by grappling multiple times in succession. This is just one of many new gadgets and tools you will be able to use in the game.
The new mechanic is Bruce’s new ability to use gadgets airborne. For example, he will be able to throw Batarangs out mid-air towards enemies before you go down to face them on the ground.
These enhancements are intended to help Bruce better get his bearings around the considerably larger open world. These are design choices intended to save players time, while not taking away from the challenge.
