In Bioware’s words, Mass Effect 4 development is well underway now, with a new job opening for an online producer.
Things are getting real now and I need an excellent Producer to come shape online for the next Mass Effect – http://t.co/L4G3OBAn87

As you may have guessed, this is an opening in Bioware Montreal, which was apparently unaffected by a recent spate of layoffs at EA Montreal.
To be clear, online producers are in charge of building and maintaining the content that you see in websites. In this case, Bioware is likely looking for people to help build up the assets that will be seen in the online part of Mass Effect 4. This includes screens and UIs for lobbies, menus, etc.
A background in things like creating characters or graphics, animations, or software engineering is a help, but the main job is overseeing the work to ensure everything is in shape and on schedule.
Bioware was also cut and dried about their work on Mass Effect 4 being pursued separately from their recent release, Dragon Age, so they are likely to be building this online experience independently, and with an eye to optimization for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It’s reasonable to assume that some work on the online system has been done, and Bioware is looking for people to ensure they get the game finished on time.
This is out of our hands, of course, but seeing what has been done with online on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One so far, what would you like Bioware to do with Mass Effect 4? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
