Dying Light’s Launch Trailer Promises Some ‘Creative Brutality’

January 26, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Because the regular kind is boring, apparently.

Techland has released the launch trailer for Dying Light, their parkour heavy open world zombie game.

The game is coming out tomorrow for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Originally announced for PS3 and Xbox 360, those versions have since been cancelled.

In Dying Light, players take on the role of undercover operative Kyle Crane who is dispatched to an quarantine zone in order to locate a missing military officer. Of course, things don't go as they should, and Crane is forced to take on the zombie horde. This will be particularly aggressive at night, when they're much more aggressive than during the daytime.

Dying Light also allows for Mirror's Edge or Assassin's Creed-like movement throughout the city. Which could offer a new perspective on the zombie genre.

You can watch the game's opening cinematic here.
