Last May, developer Techland revealed that they decided to delay the game to February 2015. They went into detail on how they planned many innovative features for the game, such as the Natural Movement system. After careful consideration, they realized that they would not be able to deliver on their intended vision for the game unless they took more time on it.

Most recently, however, they revealed the new release date, without further explanation. For fans who are waiting on this game, this is sure to be welcome news whatever the reason.

Dying Light was playable enough to have a press demo available as early as September 2013. If you need to be reacquainted with what the game is and what makes it different, you can read our preview here.

Dying Light will be released on Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
